2018 was a wonderful year of fellowship, service, learning, growth, and celebration at CSLGJ!
- Increase in membership • Increase in average Sunday attendance • Increase in base contributions
- Served dinner at Homeward Bound on 12 occasions • Removed Horizon Drive litter twice
- Conducted four certificated classes, a Radical Forgiveness book study, and other classes, including Principles of Prosperity class, Children’s Meditation Class, Creating a Happy Life
- Held several workshops: SoulCollage®, Journaling to the Self, Treatment/Prayer Workshop, Finding Your Voice, Mayan Calendar, Awakening to Divine Light, and Sound & Vibration Healing
- Held 20+ meetings of Not Going Quietly • Silent Meditation Retreat • Women’s Retreat
- Weekly Meditation Sampler: Crystal Singing Bowls Meditation, Meister Eckhart, Qi-Gong, Drumming, Ho’oponopono, Gong Bath, Mindfulness, I Am, Meditation of Islam, Taize’, and more!
- Supported Interfaith, Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ Pridefest, Kindness is Contagious, Alternative Health Expo, and other community causes • Sponsored a blood drive
- Held an Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Talent Show, Bring a Friend Sunday, Summer Picnic & Fellowship
- Provided special services including Valentine’s Day Vow Renewal, Pet Blessing, Volunteer Appreciation, Gratitude Service, World Peace Meditation • Celebrated Ernest Holmes’s birthday
- Participated in ThanksGVIN Interfaith Thanksgiving Service with Grand Valley Interfaith Network
- Shared three spiritual movies: Heal, Paper Tigers, ONE • Implemented a new sound system
- Annual Meeting, Town Hall Meetings, Birthday Celebrations, Visioning Circle, Listening Circle
- Members hosted many community-building events through Gourmets for God
- Hosted guest musicians Dennis Warner, Amitabhan, Ellen Stapenhorst, Paul Teerlinck, Beth Williams, Robin Hackett, Omiyomi • Concerts by Ellen Stapenhorst, Amitabhan, and Robin Hackett
- Monthly meetings of the Circle of Men Group and Be BRAVE Women’s Group
- Participated in Women’s March, LGBTQ Pride March, and Martin Luther King, Jr. March
- Did work around Mental Health Awareness • Held Healthy Living Circles • Hosted Mental Health First Aid class • Initiated Suicide Peer Support Group • Hosted Meet the Revs and Lunch with the Revs
- Sponsored Kindness is Contagious, Pride Week, and Black Lives Matter
- Four practitioner students completed the 1st year and are now in 2nd year of practitioner training!
